Students Lead Silent March For Peace

Beginning at the flagpoles at noon, April 4, the Society of Arab Students hosted a silent march for peace addressing the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

The march led down Ring Road, encircled the Humanities Plaza and ended in a chanting huddle at the Student Center.

Many anti-Israeli posters were displayed and one of various protest chants included, “Sharon, Sharon, you can’t hide, you’re committing genocide,” referring to the Prime Minister of Israel, Ariel Sharon.

Flyers were also handed out with history of the conflict.
